Lao-tzu: change your beliefs, your perception, your thoughts and transform yourself, your life and your finances

Change your beliefs, your perception, your thoughts and transform yourself, your life and your finances

”If you correct your mind, the rest of your life will fall into place.”

This may be the most appropriate quote for my website because my work with clients is all about working with them to become aware of and ultimately changing their thinking, their beliefs and their perception of reality and of possibility.

It’s both my opinion as well as my personal experience that when we become aware of and endeavor to shift our beliefs and perceptions that total transformation becomes possible.

My own thinking and perception today is soooo different than it was 20 years ago.  As a result, my experience and my behavior are quite transformed and I’m much closer to realizing my full potential.  My teenage daughter even thinks I’m totally awesome.  How rare is that?

Mastering money, advancing our spiritual awareness and wholeness

Mastering money, advancing our spiritual awareness and wholeness

The following is an exerpt from one of my mentors, David Neagle:  “Money is nothing more than another form of energy, one that we currently use as a medium of trade. This energy is either attracted or repelled according to our vibration with it.  Money in itself is neither good or bad; however, it does tend to magnify a person’s blocks, false beliefs and core attributes.  A person who does not master money will become a slave to it.  And, we know that one is not free if they are a slave to anything. Learning the art of manifesting money is, in fact, one of the last freedoms we must master in order to advance in our spiritual awareness and wholeness.”

What you believe about money, income, debt, abundance, your potential,….. is RIGHT.

What you believe about money, income, debt, abundance, your potential,….. is RIGHT.

There’s an old adage that says, “Whether you believe you can or you believe you can’t, you’re right.” We convince ourselves of our futures before we take the actions that make them real. This is not news to the golfer who visualizes the ball dropping into the cup before the swing, or the artist who sees the completed painting before lifting a brush.

This is also the underlying feature of everything from Positive Psychology to “The Secret,” and the Law of Attraction, and it works on us every day. When we convince ourselves that everything is happening to us, and we’re nothing but a thistle-seed on the breeze of life, that becomes our experience. Our experience and our belief becomes reinforced as we prepare ourselves for that future, expect that future, and yes, take precisely the action steps that will lead to that future.

If everyone says “we’re in a recession,” we will make it so. If we constantly say the economy is bad, we will make it so. I’m not saying that we should ignore reality by any means, but that we look beyond the hand that we’re dealt, to the game we’re in. Playing a lousy hand well will take you further than playing a great hand badly. If we decide to make reality work, we can make reality work.

It is very difficult to observe the world around us, interpret from a defeatist position, and then promote a successful, winning perspective. The change has to start at the very beginning of this process. If we want to improve our situations, we need to do this from a position where we have power and control. To say “I can’t do xyz because the economy is bad,” is a total surrender to powerlessness. Turning this around starts with language shifts completely within our power.

First, the economy isn’t “bad.” The economy is going through corrections, adjustments, upheaval, or any of the other thousand descriptions that don’t include a value judgment definition.
Einstein said it is necessary to apply different thinking to solve the problems than the thinking that created the situation. Now you think, “how am I going to get past this?” We move from victim to problem solver just by shifting our internal dialogue. First we catch ourselves, then we interrupt the pattern, then we replace the victim language with the problem solver language. Difficult at first, but easier and easier with practice until you no longer even have to think about it. Success, now, is going to be about better problem solving, more creativity, more innovation.

Love, Money, Business, and The Law of Attraction

Love, Money, Business, and The Law of Attraction

With Valentines Day approaching, here are some thoughts about how love affects not only our relationships with people, but our relationship with money and success which is one of the main themes of the Thrivelocity blog and Money Mastery (my unique approach and method of helping you to improve your Inner Game of money, earn what you’re worth doing work that you love and fulfills your purpose). So, regardless of whether you have a human Valentine, this post is for you.

Love is the emotion of God and the Universe; and real love is an act of participation in the achievement of the fuller expression and expansion of all life. This is why we feel more alive when we are experiencing love in any form; and why our souls are drawn to these experiences- they are opportunities for the soul to learn, express, and become more free.

The word emotion can be broken down into two parts. E means to express and motion meaning movement. You’re expressing your soul through the movement of energy – vibration.

When we feel something, our bodies react by vibrating at the same frequency as that which we feel. The longer we stay involved with that feeling, the deeper it sinks into our subconscious until we become emotionally involved with it- at which time we vibrate mind, body and soul in harmony with our feelings which have now become emotions.
Your emotions cause you to express that energy as a vibration which seeks to harmonize with other objects, people, circumstances that are moving at the same frequency- The Law of Attraction in action. All energy chooses the path of least resistance and therefore seeks energy just like itself that won’t conflict and cause it to change. Your emotional energy will guide you to circumstances and opportunities that are a direct reflection of how you feel.

So, if you are in a state of real love (romantic love is not required here) what will become of your life? You will find yourself with abundance, happiness, success, and health because that would be the fuller expression and expansion of you. You’ll also do it in such a way as to cause others to join you as well as attracting relationships into your life that already harmonize with your mission of mutual benefit for all. What does this mean for your business? It means that true love is the corner stone to building both your client base and your income.

The current economy: fear, constriction, and dissociation OR a potent opportunity for discovery, growth, and transformation?

The current economy: fear, constriction, and dissociation OR a potent opportunity for discovery, growth, and transformation?
We are powerless to change that which we lack conscious awareness of.
Given our current financial condition, it is time to explore both our personal and collective relationship with money more deeply.  Money can be a very powerful teacher of what we have yet to learn about who we are as human beings.

We all possess unconscious beliefs, patterns and behaviors around money that are largely unknown to us.  It is time to embark upon a deeper learning and integrate money into our spiritual work.  We created it, we made it powerful, and its movement in the world is a direct reflection of our consciousness. As we become increasingly more conscious of this aspect of ourselves, we can begin to co-create a more meaningful and sustainable experience with money and the world around us. The other reward we will receive for doing our personal money work, I believe, is access to the pure potentiality that money represents that will allow us to become more evolved and fulfilled in all areas of our lives. This potential is greater than we ever imagined possible.

It’s interesting to note that the early alchemists did not attempt to turn lead into gold for financial gain, they were seeking spiritual gain. Quite literally, the process of turning the darker, heavier metal of lead to gold was to raise one’s consciousness, not one’s wealth. The alchemists were seeking enlightenment. On the path of seeking spiritual truth, gold was merely a physical manifestation of their enlightenment.
Until we understand and transform our relationship with money and become the alchemists in our own lives, money will always be problematic. Seeking to possess it without understanding its true purpose and meaning in our lives will only leave us feeling more conflicted and unfulfilled. The journey is not about money. The journey is about truth and self-discovery, an archeological dig to the center of the truth of who we really are.
Now, more than ever before we are all being called to delve deeper into our spiritual journey. We must take action to create a world to that values human beings and our planet above profit. We need to trust that there is enough for everyone. Spirit will provide. We must resist the temptation to go into fear and constriction as there is nothing that can be gained by this. That is a trap that only stands to fulfill itself. Now is the time to release and let go of all that no longer serves us so that we can create the space to receive that which does.

What will be your first action in this direction?

Money, Income, Life Purpose and the Chakras – Part 2

Money, Income, Life Purpose and the Chakras – Part 2

In the last post, I talked about needing to work through the issues of the first 3 chakras in order to gain autonomy, individuation, an internal sense of security, to connect with others, have relationships, offer your creativity and receive material rewards for it. All of that must happen in order to gain clarity about your desire and your purpose.

The chakra system is the spiritual link between purpose and profit. You’ll conquer your issues and your obstacles, make decisions, offer your gifts, take responsibility to get your gifts to as many people as possible.

The 4th chakra is about following your bliss- this will lead you to your purpose. Do what you love and combine it with a sound business plan. Passion + Purpose + Plan = Profit. Having done the work on issues around the first 3 chakras, you can really get behind yourself, be effective, balanced and creative and do the work you love while getting paid for it.

The 5th chakra is about knowing your core message and getting it out to a wide audience. The money is in your message so get it out as widely as possible. Many entrepreneurs’ success is hampered by their aversion or resistance to marketing. When it’s the message linked to your purpose, it becomes sharing and offering rather than marketing or selling.

The 6th chakra is about the decision-making and evolution-causing part of the brain. The transformational power of decisions leads to unstoppable wealth. Make the decision to be hugely successful, wealthy, philanthropic, or all 3. Pareto’s Principle applies here too: 80% of decisions are made in the moment. 20% require deliberation or research.

The 7th chakra connects you with the divine. When you get yourself aligned with this energy, you become a channel for energy and it bypasses the ego! How cool is that?! I LOVE this. Get connected; stay connected. Life and work are soooo much easier this way; more fun too. Helpful hint: stop multi-tasking; it interferes with this connection. Inspiration = spirit comes in.

Our souls have a non-negotiable desire for life purpose. Your auric field holds your life purpose. Success is an inside job; BE the person you are meant to be. Now is a good time to begin. How well you’re doing with each of the chakras determines how bright your energy is and how immediate your manifesting will be. We emit a very clear frequency when we clear out the baggage; then people and opportunities are attracted to us. Re-write your story, dump the heavy baggage, cultivate bright new energy. Theta, NLP, Coaching and Hypnosis are great tools for this. I know this because I use them on myself- not just on my clients.  I am living proof.  When you are BEING your purpose, everything will happen! Since I made the simultaneous decisions to BE my purpose,  invest myself 100% in my coaching/training business and to end my unfulfilling romantic relationship, there has been a confluence of grace, resources, and opportunities that exceeded my hopes and expectations!  Everything is happening!
