Gratitude and Serotonin

Did you know that you can increase your serotonin levels merely by being grateful? Most of the brain chemicals linked to happiness are stimulated by this shift in perspective.

Here’s what others have said about giving thanks:
Thanksgiving Day comes, by statute, once a year; to the honest man it comes as frequently as the heart of gratitude will allow. ~Edward Sandford Martin

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them. ~John Fitzgerald Kennedy

A thankful heart is not only the greatest virtue, but the parent of all the other virtues. ~Cicero

If the only prayer you said in your whole life was “thank you,” that would suffice. ~Meister Eckhart

Have a wonderful holiday.
