Mastering money, advancing our spiritual awareness and wholeness

Mastering money, advancing our spiritual awareness and wholeness

The following is an exerpt from one of my mentors, David Neagle:  ”Money is nothing more than another form of energy, one that we currently use as a medium of trade. This energy is either attracted or repelled according to our vibration with it.  Money in itself is neither good or bad; however, it does tend to magnify a person’s blocks, false beliefs and core attributes.  A person who does not master money will become a slave to it.  And, we know that one is not free if they are a slave to anything. Learning the art of manifesting money is, in fact, one of the last freedoms we must master in order to advance in our spiritual awareness and wholeness.”

Co-creating your relationship with money

Co-creating your relationship with money

When I am in a relationship or desiring to be, I not only think about what kind of man I want to be in a relationship with and how I want that relationship to be; I also think about who I must be and how I must be in order to co-create the relationship and uphold my half of that relationship.

My friend and colleague, Morgana Rae, The Charmed Life Coach, coaches folks on how to become a Money Magnet and talks about your Money Honey, creating the relationship you want with your money as though it were a romance with a romantic partner.
How would/do you treat such a partner?

One of my mentors, David Neagle, talks about success not in terms of what you have to do to be successful, but rather WHO you have to BE in order to be successful.
I was so struck the first time I heard David say this! I decided this is true across the board whether you’re wanting to be successful with relationships with people, with money, or with your work. I have been internalizing this ever since!

Another of my mentors, Deborah Price, Founder of The Money Coaching Institute, started a new blog (see my blogroll) to speak to the fear and pain that is circulating in our society right now. She says:”Using relationships as the metaphor, begin to think in terms of what kind of money relationship you are seeking. If you were to place an ad in the personal column seeking a partner, you would want to have a pretty clear idea of what it is you are looking for before you placed your ad. Otherwise, you’re not likely to receive what you’re hoping for. The clearer you are, the more likely you can magnetize anything in your life, be it relationship with a person, a job or money. In this case, it is important to be clear about what kind of relationship you desire to have with money. Write a personal ad that addresses your intention. Here’s an example:
“Spiritual being seeking a relationship with money that is conscious, loving, trustworthy, fulfilling, co-creative and prosperous. I am ready to receive this relationship into my life and to embrace this prosperity with care and attention so that together we may realize our greatest good.”

Now, write your own statement of what it is you desire in your relationship with money. When you are done, repeat the following words:
“I am ready and willing to receive my perfect relationship with money and finances into my life with grace and gratitude. I consider it done and so it is. Amen. “

Let me know how it goes.

The Science of Getting Rich, Part 2

The Science of Getting Rich, Part 2

THIS IS NOT A TIME TO PLAY A CONSERVATIVE GAME! THIS IS A TIME TO STEP UP AND PLAY A BIGGER GAME THAN EVER BEFORE.

Although these posts are about Wallace Wattles’ book, The Science of Getting Rich, I’m reminded of Warren Buffet’s advice: the best investment is the one you make in yourself! Investing in yourself may be a necessary part of being able to step up and play a bigger game than ever before. Most people will need some sort of support to be able to do this. Determine what sort of support you need and don’t hesitate to get it. Most of the calls I get from people interested in working with me are motivated by these people coming to the determination that without support for changing themselves, they will remain where they are, or worse, decline. David Neagle paraphrased Wallace Wattles’ Ch. 14 to explain why so many people are sinking so rapidly financially right now. It’s a much different perspective on these crazy times than you’ll find on the news.

Ch. 14 is all about The Impression of Increase which has to do with the way that spirit within each of us wants to express itself more and more fully. As a result, this energy will either propel you forward or backward depending on your orientation. (See now why I spent so much time in the last post on ways to anchor your orientation of choice?) You will not just stay put. Many people who think they can behave very conservatively and just stay put are finding that it’s not working very well.

The normal desire for increased wealth is a normal human desire for a more abundant life. People are attracted to the individuals that can give them more of the means to this. You are a creative center from which increase is given TO ALL. You are giving constant increase to yourself and to all with whom you deal. You need to convey this, with integrity and conviction, to all and make sure they receive this impression from you that you are an advancing person that you are spreading the wealth. This is KEY to the Impression of Increase and it’s attraction factor. Others will be attracted to you and your business because they will feel that in associating with you, they will experience increase themselves. Give all greater value than the cash value you receive from them. If you always do these things, your business will increase rapidly. You’ll be able to secure greater advantages and continue to spread the benefits.

Through all of this, hold onto your vision and your purpose. Lift others and bring them along. “What I want for myself, I want for everybody”. This line is in the book and it’s the same thought that motivated me to change professions and create Money Mastery and this blog!

stay tuned: next post: The Law of Gratitude. You really don’t want to miss this!

The Science of Getting Rich, Part 1

The Science of Getting Rich

Wallace Wattles published the book, The Science of Getting Rich
, around the beginning of the 1900’s and it’s still timely…..perhaps more so right now in this current economy where words like recession, depression, decession, etc. are constantly in the news.

David Neagle, one of my mentors, recently gave a talk to his Platinum coaching group on Chapters 4, 14 and 7 of this book.
Since I’m aware that few can afford the price tag of this elite group’s membership, I’m going to share with you the learnings from this talk. I have 6 pages of notes from the talk and it’ll probably take at least a few blog posts to sum it up so, be sure to stay tuned over the next week or two. I generally post twice a week.

To change the effects we are getting, we must change our thoughts.
This takes vigilance. We must continually bring our thoughts back to where we want them to be. This takes practice and vigilance. Eventually, we train our minds and this thinking becomes automatic. Don’t expect it to happen right away. Many people find this extremely challenging, yet it’s one of the KEYS to designing your own changes. Remain committed to the practice. This is how you become a Mastermind.

Some suggestions to support this practice:

-put up notes in your environment to remind you of what you want to be thinking and what beliefs you are cultivating.
-Listen to recorded books that reinforce these messages while in the car, when you’re exercising, cleaning the house, cooking dinner, etc… This will keep your mind oriented in this direction and you’ll reflect on what you heard even when you’re no longer playing the recording; this will continue to keep your mind oriented.
-Read something, short or long, that orients your mind in this direction first thing in the a.m. and last thing in the p.m. This takes very little time and is quite effective. You orient your mind to hold these truths in your consciousness for the entire night and the entire day.
-Write your key thoughts on a 3 x 5 card, in your PDA or wherever, and carry it with you and look at it throughout the day. Set an alarm on your cell phone or computer to remind you to look at it hourly or bi-hourly or whatever intervals you choose. Obviously, the more often, the better.

Guard your mind from detractors. Reduce or eliminate your exposure to negative people and negative thought. Turn off the radio, t.v., and other sources of media which are designed to cultivate fear and unrest.

Start where you are. Yes, you can start from exactly where you are. Right now. You don’t need to wait for anything to be different.

That which may have worked well for you or your business even just recently may have stopped working. This necessitates that you step up in a much bigger way than ever before. This is happening to people and businesses all over. This is one of the reasons some are sinking very fast and others are rising very fast. People are unaware of how forces are affecting them and what they can do to change their course and use their power. People often act counter-productively in such circumstances. THIS IS NOT A TIME TO PLAY A CONSERVATIVE GAME! THIS IS A TIME TO STEP UP AND PLAY A BIGGER GAME THAN EVER BEFORE.

Personal Responsibility = Being “At Cause”

Personal Responsibility = Being “At Cause” in NLP-speak

Take time to seriously consider one central tenant in NLP (Neurolinguistic Programming): Personal Responsibility.
This may be an elusive concept for some people; it was for me. Although I thought that I took responsibility for my stuff, my actions and inactions, I really couldn’t keep straight Being At Cause and Being At Effect- I had a certain denseness around understanding these concepts. That was a clue to me.
I learned NLP from Christopher Howard. He and his staff would frequently refer to whether one was At Cause or At Effect. It wasn’t until I was listening to David Neagle’s Art of Success series (which gets my highest recommendation and you just can’t beat the price: free!) that it really clicked for me. Since then, I’ve had many little and big epiphanies related to this understanding and some significant shifts personally and professionally.

I invite you to ask yourself: In what areas of my life am I bucking responsibility for my present circumstances, results, feelings and decisions? If there is anything that I am unhappy with, or that I feel is less than what I truly desire, how have I given away my power to change that situation by waiting for others or circumstances to change or come to my rescue?

In this country there is nothing that you desire that you cannot be, do or have. However, it is up to you to claim it for your own. It is up to you to identify and change that which holds you back. It is up to you to create the life you dream of. You are solely responsible for the state of your life. We can truly transform our lives if we simply take responsibility, make the decision, and take the appropriate actions.

You are powerful and there is nothing that you cannot change if you have the desire to do so!!

I recommend getting a great coach to assist you in the process. Most great coaches have coaches themselves. In my last session with my coach, we were talking about being “At Cause”. She commented on how much progress she’s witnessed in me in the past year. I replied that it has a lot to do with finally “groking” the concept of Personal Responsibility and taking action based on my new understanding and resultant willingness to be completely honest with myself about some things that I had had rationalizations for; this one shift has significantly changed my relationship to my business, my health, my personal life, and my relationships. My friends and colleagues have noticed the difference in me too. YEAH! :)

Give it a try. What have you got to lose?
